Past Government Contracts

Between 1989 and 2004, GRG (using the personal experience of Gary Cornelison) won and successfully executed a series of five storage terminal operations and maintenance contracts for DESC. Each contract entailed extensive project management, facility maintenance, petroleum quality surveillance, and sub-contractor administration responsibilities. Due to facility age, substantial professional knowledge was required in leak detection, tank repair, remediation of groundwater contamination and pollution abatement. Due to security concerns for the safety of the products and storage facilities, these contracts required the presence of a 24 hour, seven day per week guard force. In June 1989, DFSC awarded MEA a two year contract to provide services at the Defense Fuel Support Point, Estero Bay, CA. This contract was followed in March 1990 by a three year contract for security, operations and maintenance services at the Defense Fuel Support Point, Melville, RI. In April 1993, MEA received a follow-on contract at DFSP Melville for an additional three year period. In April of 1996, MEA received a contract to operate the DFSP at Charleston, SC. A follow-on contract was awarded in April, 1999 to continue operations at DFSP Charleston for an additional five year period. The following summarizes the scope and responsibilities of each contract performed by MEA.
